description

Kokeshi sticky notes are very cute when used not only as memos but also as markers for documents and books, making it look like a kokeshi doll is popping out from between them.

There are 80 pieces in total, with 20 pieces in each row.

Ishinomaki Kokeshi is a newer type of Kokeshi doll created in 2015 with the help of Yajiro Kokeshi artisans to revitalize Ishinomaki, a city severely impacted by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Reflecting Ishinomaki's history as a fishing port, the doll's body features a red fish pattern set against blue stripes.

■ Sasaki Print and Revitalization of Tōhoku ■
Sasaki Print is a small printing company founded in 1928 in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture.Approaching its 100th anniversary, the factory was severely damaged and completely destroyed by the Tōhoku earthquake in 2011. The third-generation president, Hideaki Sasaki, initially saw no future for the factory. However, he was deeply inspired by the collective effort of the local people to rebuild the area. Prompted to consider what he could contribute as a printing company, he came up with the idea to create a special souvenir featuring Kokeshi, traditional wooden dolls from northern Japan.
He began producing various Kokeshi clips and packaging them in beautiful small matchboxes. These charming products quickly became popular souvenirs. Thanks to the success of the Kokeshi clips, he has continued to create new items and contribute to the reconstruction of Tōhoku. It is hoped that these beautiful products will attract many visitors and encourage people to return to the Tōhoku region.
