Description

Kokeshi sticky notes are very cute when used not only as memos but also as markers for documents and books, making it look like a kokeshi doll is popping out from between them.
The set includes four types of Kokeshi dolls: Naruko, Sakunami, Togatta, and Yajiro.
There are 20 of each type, making a total of 80 pieces.

Naruko Kokeshi dolls have a distinctive silhouette that broadens at the shoulders, tapers slightly in the middle, and then widens again towards the base. The most iconic design is the intricate chrysanthemum pattern, depicting side views of the flower.

Togatta Kokeshi dolls are characterized by their large heads and slender bodies. A red radial pattern is drawn on the top of the head, extending from the forehead to the body. The body often features floral designs, such as chrysanthemums, plums, and cherry blossoms.

Sakunami Kokeshi dolls are known for their slim bodies, which are easy for children to hold. The body typically features a crab-shaped chrysanthemum design. Sendai Kokeshi dolls originated from this type of Kokeshi doll.

Yajiro Kokeshi dolls are characterized by their large heads and the richly colored circular patterns on the tops of their heads. Some feature a variety of these patterns on their bodies, while others combine floral designs with circular patterns.

■ Sasaki Print and Revitalization of Tōhoku ■
Sasaki Print, located in the Tōhoku area, was severely damaged by the Tōhoku earthquake in 2011, and the factory was completely destroyed. The owner initially saw no future for his factory but was inspired by the collective effort of the people to rebuild the area.

While visiting a museum in Tokyo, he found inspiration to create a special souvenir featuring Kokeshi (traditional wooden dolls) from northern Japan. He began producing various Kokeshi clips and packaging them in beautiful small matchboxes. These charming products quickly became popular souvenirs.

Thanks to the success of the Kokeshi clips, he has continued to create new items and contribute to the reconstruction of Tōhoku. It is hoped that these beautiful products will attract many visitors and encourage people to return to the Tōhoku region.
