The third-generation president, Hideaki Sasaki, initially saw no future for the factory. However, he was deeply inspired by the collective effort of the local people to rebuild the area. Prompted to consider what he could contribute as a printing company, he came up with the idea to create a special souvenir featuring Kokeshi, traditional wooden dolls from northern Japan.
He began producing various Kokeshi clips and packaging them in beautiful small matchboxes. These charming products quickly became popular souvenirs. Thanks to the success of the Kokeshi clips, he has continued to create new items and contribute to the reconstruction of Tōhoku. It is hoped that these beautiful products will attract many visitors and encourage people to return to the Tōhoku region.
