Koinobori oder Karpfenschlangen sind in Japan eine traditionelle Dekoration, die am 5. Mai zur Feier des Kindertages in den G\u00e4rten aufgestellt wird. Sie gelten als Gl\u00fccksbringer, die den Wunsch ausdr\u00fccken, dass Jungen stark aufwachsen und im Leben erfolgreich sein m\u00f6gen. Diese Tradition begann w\u00e4hrend der Edo-Periode (1603-1868) in Japan. So wurde der Karpfen zu einem Symbol f\u00fcr Ausdauer und sozialen Aufstieg. Im Laufe der Zeit wurden diese Karpfenmotive zu dreidimensionalen Stoffbahnen verarbeitet, die im Wind flatterten und das heutige Koinobori bildeten.<\/p>\n
